As someone who is passionate about cooking and teaching others, I’m always eager to refine my skills and bring new ideas to my cooking classes at Dietitian’s Kitchen. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to attend cooking training at Le Cordon Bleu in Hong Kong, where I learned from professional chefs and discovered new techniques that will inspire my future classes.

Learning from the Masters
During the training, I learned to prepare two exquisite dishes:
- Boston Lobster Salad in Riviera Style with Orange and Basil – A beautifully balanced dish that highlights fresh seafood, citrus, and fragrant herbs.
- Hazelnut and Citrus Macarons – A delicate and flavourful pastry that combines the nuttiness of hazelnuts with a zesty citrus filling.
The chefs at Le Cordon Bleu were incredibly professional, sharing their expertise with precision and passion. From mastering the perfect macaron shell to balancing flavours in a fine dining dish, every lesson was a valuable experience.
How This Experience Will Shape My Cooking Classes
Beyond learning new recipes, this training gave me fresh inspiration for my own cooking classes. Observing the structured teaching methods and the attention to detail reinforced the importance of clear instruction and hands-on practice—something I always strive to incorporate when working with my clients.
Here are some key takeaways that I’ll bring back to Dietitian’s Kitchen:
- Simplifying Complex Techniques – Breaking down intricate recipes into easy-to-follow steps to make them accessible to all skill levels.
- Enhancing the Cooking Experience – Creating an engaging learning environment where participants can build confidence while having fun.
- Bringing More Creativity into Healthy Cooking – Applying fine dining techniques to everyday meals, proving that healthy eating can be both delicious and visually appealing.
A Truly Inspiring Experience
Attending this cooking training was an amazing opportunity to refine my skills and learn from the best. It reminded me of the joy of cooking and the power of sharing knowledge—something I look forward to bringing to my next cooking class.
